Covid Update from MSS

We are grateful of how our customers have been working with us as we navigate protocols. It has allowed us to do our part in keeping staff and customers safe.

As of March 21, the provincial mandates no longer require masks. As a company, we view the current time as one of transition. There is no conclusive evidence that we are totally out of the woods on COVID-19 and will not be bogged down by further variants.

In recognition of this and how diligently our staff has been working to remain safe, we are keeping the office closed to visitors. Visitors can call and make an appointment to discuss their project. This meeting will take place in one of our outbuildings.

With regards to deliveries, we will still be adhering to our social distancing requirements between customers and driver. No signatures are required on paperwork and payments will continue to be handled in advance. By appointment, customers will be able to pick up products at a designated time and place.

We thank you for your co-operation as we work through these times.

Important Reminder – Self Sufficiency Packages

Just a quick reminder that you are still able to order the self sufficiency packages after May 31st (and any of our structures!) But it will be later delivery. As an example, when you order in June, it will likely be October delivery.

Please contact the office for specific pricing and delivery times. That is the most reliable way to stay up to date and accurate during these rapidly changing times

We are incredibly grateful to everyone for planning ahead, and for your patience. We love working with you on your projects and are grateful we have been able to continue that throughout the last three decades. Cheers to growing & more in 2021!

February Update

Ever since the onset of COVID-19 virus with all of its challenges, we at Multi Shelter Solutions have been fortunate to have a huge increase in interest in our products. We are grateful that people see such value in our greenhouses as they search for added food security amidst uncertainty.

This increase in interest during this time of uncertainty and extra protocols for safety have not happened without its own challenges. We are grateful for the patience which customers have shown and also their willingness to plan ahead.

Generally speaking we are getting people the information and numbers which they need within a week. Some of the more complex quotes or ones with a few extra situations do take a few extra days.

In the office, Maggie has been quickly acknowledging requests and identifying any missing information so that when Kelly or Norm does the quote, they have what is required.

We appreciate you giving us as much information as possible to reduce any back and forth and help your quote process go quicker. As a reminder we do not give quotes or delivery updates on our social media.

Please be aware that with the uncertainty and volatility of steel and aluminum costs, we are only guaranteeing our prices for 30 days. We understand people appreciate having those numbers available for their planning purposes on our website but the best way to ensure accuracy right now is to phone or email for a quote. As a heads up, we will be updating pricing on our website in the near future, to respond to the situation we are facing from our suppliers.

With our current workload, deliveries are being quoted at 10 weeks. Some of the larger or more complex buildings are being quoted as longer. We work at grouping things together in certain areas and some customers are surprised with quicker deliveries. This is something that should not be counted on.

Our office staff continues to reach out to customers just before delivery to ensure they are aware of delivery protocols. Acknowledgement of these protocols is mandatory for the safety of the driver but also in more and more situations, part of the necessary paperwork we must file in advance as we travel out of province.

We appreciate everyone helping to get these things organized quickly and efficiently. We are grateful that we are classified as essential service and are meticulous with ensuring paperwork is complete so that we can maintain that status.

We will continue to use our website and social media as best as we can, as a tool for keeping our customers informed and up to date on what is going on in our rapidly changing world.

We look forward to working with you on your greenhouse and shelter projects and wish you health and safety in the coming month and beyond.

Thank you for your interest and patience,

Norm & the Multi Shelters Team

Orders, Delivery & Pricing Update

It has always been MSS’s style to provide the necessary or requested information and pricing to people, and then let you do the required number crunching and planning and take the time you need. We have never made a practice of pressuring anyone to buy before they are ready. The current and changing circumstances warrants us to give you a heads up however.

Our lead times will continue to be a minimum of 8 weeks due to the extra work involved with COVID protocols. We are also going through a time of significant price uncertainty so pricing and quotes can only be guaranteed for 30 days.

The more notice we receive on the structure(s) you wish to purchase, the better we can guarantee it to arrive when you need it.

We are grateful for the way that our customers are thinking ahead for their structure purchases. We thank you for the opportunity of working with you on your shelter and greenhouse projects.

We wish you a happy new year and a safe and prosperous spring.

Thanks
Norm Eygenraam, President

Open for the New Year, Protocol Updates

Thank you to everyone for your wonderful support through an ever changing time!
Our office has reopened this week for 2021 but will remain strictly closed to in person visits. We are able to be reached by phone and email and look forward to connecting with you!
With the new restrictions and protocols which were mandated by the provincial government on Dec. 26, it will be necessary for us to verify if there are any of these restrictions which apply to any of the buildings which we supply. We will be posting this information as we become aware. As per last spring, we know we are able to sell and deliver agricultural buildings and will be finding out for any others.
Any orders which customers will be picking up, will be considered “curb side pick up” and as such, these orders must be prepaid and there will not have any contact with our staff.
Customers picking up orders will be required to wear masks while on the MSS property and are not permitted to look around.
Customers who are receiving an MSS delivered building will receive our delivery protocol a few days in advance. This protocol must be acknowledged and agreed to before a delivery can take place. Please contact our office if you would like to see a copy of this protocol or look on our website here
We thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this challenging time.
We will post further updates with more information as the information becomes available or changes.
We look forward to working with you on your 2021 projects
Stay tuned for further details

Curbside Pickup Helper

With the new provincial guidelines many businesses have been forced to go with curb side pick up. Terry Cormack and his staff at the Palmerston Home Hardware have certainly made the process more pleasant for their customers during the messy weather of the winter months.

We were lucky enough to get our new entrance shelter up yesterday. What a great help for curbside service! With the weather we’ve been getting today, our customers have really appreciated a little shelter! A big shout out to our local manufacturer Multi Shelter Solutions – right here in Palmerston!! Norm Eygenraam and his team at Multi Shelter Solutions put an extra effort into getting the bits and pieces made just before Christmas. And an extra thank you to Norm for his expert guidance with assembly yesterday! I would highly recommend Norm and his team if you are needing a solution to your shelter challenges. Check their shelters out at www.multisheltersolutions.com, or give them a call at 519-343-2335.

This 10’ x 12’ Multi Shelter Solutions building allows customers to wait for their order out of the snow and wind. With this “relative comfort”, it is easier for customers to be patient while the store employees do their best in these challenging times.

With the portability of this unit, when restrictions are lifted, Terry will be able to move the shelter to the back of his property where it can shelter his forklift and other miscellaneous equipment.
