Multi Shelter Solutions Safe Delivery Protocols

We thank you for your business and trusting us with your shelter purchase. We are very appreciative of the opportunities created by being deemed “an essential” service. As part of the “food chain” we can keep producing and shipping greenhouses.

We have taken steps to ensure the safety of the employees, which include extra use of sanitizers and cleaners, social distancing, no sign receipts and pickups, separate areas for pick ups and drop offs.

For us to continue with deliveries in a safe manner, we have established some protocols that have to be adhered to. These are more then “guidelines”, these are rules for everyone’s safety. Our driver has been instructed to enforce these measures.

Responsibilities of the customers:

  • Please review and acknowledge receipt of this document to indicate acceptance. Please do not hesitate to ask questions.
  • If there is an unpaid balance, that needs to be paid now. The driver will not be handling payments.
  • Please have an easily accessible spot ready ahead of time to unload.
  • Have a pallet or wood ready to unload small things so that they do not go on the ground.
  • When the driver arrives, do not approach the driver and maintain a minimum 2 metre distance at all times.
  • Do not approach or touch any part of the truck and trailer.
  • Do not touch or gather up any straps, ratchets or shipping blocks when things are unloaded.
  • When handling longer parts, approach only from the back and follow the driver’s instructions for joint handling. Make sure there is a convenient and close by spot to put these.
  • The driver will unload the short items and boxes of hardware onto the skid you have provided. He will not hand you anything. He will unload next to the truck and trailer.
  • The parts list and your copy of the invoice will be clearly visible on the top of one of the boxes. If there is risk of inclement weather, please ensure there is a piece of plastic or tarp to cover the boxes.
  • You will not need to sign the driver’s copy of the paperwork. It is still our policy that you have 30 days to review the shipment for accuracy and completeness.
  • The driver is not allowed to enter any part of any of your buildings or facilities.
  • Please do not hesitate to let us know about any protocols you have on your farm that we need to let our driver know about.

Please be safe and continue to do your part. We look forward to coming out of these trying times together, being stronger for the experience.

Update from MSS

**Updated 4/6/20**

First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude for all the front line workers in health care, grocery and growers, as well as so many more, working to keep society going and care for all of us during these challenging times.

We value our partnership with the growers in the food supply chain and are grateful we fall under the essential AGRICULTURAL services in Ontario so we can continue to provide your greenhouses and agricultural buildings, when time is of the essence to get your operations up and running.

The safety of our employees and customers is of top critical concern for us, and as such we have modified many of our procedures, for our own standard as well as government regulations. We appreciate your help in adhering and respecting these changes so we can all come out of this safe and healthy.

Our office doors are now locked, we are not having shop visits until further notice. We will gladly connect to you by phone, email, or zoom video conferencing for all your structure questions and needs.

There will be no pick ups as everyone is required to stay at home.

Our driver will not be handling any cash or cheques or having any direct customer contact. Orders must be prepaid before delivery. Each customer will receive a detailed list of instructions prior to delivery for preparation for delivery and this MUST BE signed and sent back in order for your delivery to go as scheduled. Please see delivery details here: https://multisheltersolutions.com/2020/04/03/multi-shelter-solutions-safe-delivery-protocols/  If these aren’t followed, our driver will not be able to complete your delivery.

At the time of writing this, our driver is doing the first delivery run on the east coast this week. He encountered multiple check points, but we are ensuring we have complete documentation to make the process go as smoothly and safely as possible. We do still plan another delivery to the east coast in April and another in May, but situations are also changing quickly. Please contact the office for further details.

As this is our busiest time of the year under normal circumstances, and now with an added layer of procedures, we appreciate your patience during this time. We are still open for phone and email contacts and will reply within a week or sooner, of receiving the request.

We look forward to working with you on your structure projects!

We are grateful you place your trust in Multi Shelter Solutions for your growing, housing, and storage needs. We will rally together and get through this. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this crisis and we pray it will pass quickly and you can find some moments of calm.

Stay safe and healthy, and we will keep you updated for any changes in the days to come.
